Styleprint partnered with Cartology - Part of the Woolworths Group to execute a dynamic 24-hour LYNX Fine Fragrance Collection takeover at Woolworths Town Hall in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The challenge was to create a captivating in-store experience that would engage shoppers at every turn, all within a tight timeframe.
Objectives
- Create a Memorable Brand Experience: Transform the store environment to hero the LYNX Fine Fragrance Collection.
- Maximise Shopper Engagement: Use innovative displays and media to capture attention and enhance the shopper journey.
- Efficient Execution: Complete the installation and removal overnight post-trade within a 6-hour window, minimising disruption to store operations.
Archway
The centrepiece of the activation was an in-aisle archway, spanning 4.35 metres across the aisle—a rare and challenging feat in retail. Our design incorporated the iconic X element from the LYNX branding, placing it centrally in the archway to enhance both the visual impact and structural integrity. The archway not only served as a striking touchpoint for the LYNX takeover but also adhered to strict safety standards. A fun fact: despite its substantial presence, the structure weighed only 30 kg!
- Electroluminescent Display (ELD): To further elevate the LYNX brand, we designed an ELD frame that showcased the products on the shelf with dynamic, low-power lighting. The rotating illumination added a theatrical touch, drawing shoppers’ eyes and creating a memorable in-store experience.
- Floor Decals: The journey began at the store's entrance with oversized decals that set the stage for the takeover. Inside, the in-aisle archway was accompanied by floor decals that directed attention to the new product, with a show-stopping full-aisle decal in the Beauty and Personal Care aisle. Produced in two pieces, this decal aligned perfectly with shoppers’ line of sight, ensuring maximum impact.
- Window and Door Decals: The store's exterior was transformed with large, clear-stock decals on the windows, allowing visibility while highlighting the LYNX graphics. The entry doors featured clear dot-stock decals, enhancing the brand presence without obstructing the view from inside.
Additional Elements
To add layers of engagement and theatre, we incorporated 3D dress-up kits on end caps and layered 3D elements throughout the Beauty and Personal Care aisle track to utilise the existing lighting in the aisle that highlighted the collection on the display piece. These touches elevated the overall experience, making the LYNX takeover an immersive and memorable event for shoppers.
Results
The LYNX Fine Fragrance takeover at Woolworths Town Hall was a resounding success, capturing shopper attention and delivering a standout brand experience in a bustling retail environment.
